The tournament has been approved for sanction.

This tournament is a 16 team, no elimination event. Each team is guaranteed four matches, with match play results from the two day competition determining the order of finish - Tournament Champions through sixteenth place. The format closely resembles the traditional college match format. There will be 5 singles matches and 3 doubles matches. Each match consists of five singles sets and three doubles sets. In event of a 4-4 tie, games will be counted to determine the winning team. 8 game pro-sets singles and doubles, regular scoring with a 12-point tiebreaker played at 7-7. The losing teams will play 6 game sets in their 2nd match, 12 point tie breaker at 6 all. Singles players can also play doubles, however, substitutions are allowed between singles and doubles. The #1 singles player must play #1 doubles (if playing doubles), the #2 singles player must play either #1 or #2 doubles (if playing doubles). In singles, a no stacking rule is in effect. Teams must play their best player at #1, second best at #2 and so on. Awards will be given to the top three finishing teams in the Main Draw and the winner of the Consolation Draw.
Those schools that are from northern California or out of state should plan to go home Sunday morning so they will be able to stay for the Saturday evening award ceremonies
that will be completed by 6:30 P.M.
